Newport Beach resident and internationally renowned physician appointed to medical advisory board Encyclopedia

EmpowHer, the home of women’s health online, (www.empowher.com) announced today that Dr. Jay K. Harness, MD, has been appointed to serve on the company’s Medical Advisory Board. As a member of EmpowHer’s Medical Advisory Board, Dr. Harness will join other renowned doctors and medical researchers in providing strategic medical guidance for women’s health specialties. Dr. Harness will specifically guide EmpowHer’s breast cancer information and will appear in EmpowHer’s comprehensive cancer informational videos created for women.

Dr. Jay Harness is internationally recognized for his work in oncology and breast and endocrine surgery. He is Director of Saint Joseph’s Hospital’s Comprehensive Breast Center, president-elect of Breast Surgery International and former president of The American Society of Breast Surgeons. Dr. Harness has practiced medicine for 35 years, specializing in medical oncology and general surgery. He graduated medical school from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and conducted his internship and residency at the University of Michigan Medical Center.
