Models wearing the latest in fashionable yet practical business wear, a variety of culinary delights, and a good cause will highlight the June 3, 2009 meeting of the Meeting Professionals International Orange County Chapter (MPIOC), which will be held at The Westin South Coast Plaza. Roughly 125 attendees will attend the event, which includes an awards presentation, installation of new officers and a special focus on dressing for career success.
In keeping with the event’s theme, the organization will show its support for Working Wardrobes, an independent, nonprofit organization that empowers men, women and young adults in life crises to confidently enter the workforce with career development and wardrobe services. Attendees have been asked to bring donations of gently-used business attire to benefit at-risk men and women seeking self-sufficiency through gainful employment.
MPIOC members will learn how to dress for their own careers with a fashion show presented by South Coast Plaza and several specialty retailers including Hugo Boss, Mango, Banana Republic, Club Monaco, Anne Fontaine, Ted Baker and others. Anton Segerstrom, general manager of South Coast Plaza, will address the group. Representatives of the Costa Mesa Conference & Visitor Bureau will also be in attendance,
