Beck, who also finished second in the 1600 and the high jump, and Murtha, who finished second in the 100 and fourth in the long jump, contributed 26 and 22 points, respectively, of the Trojans’ winning total.
In the 4x100 relay, Beck ran second and Murtha ran the anchor as TeWinkle won in 50.1, edging Corona del Mar by two-tenths of a second.
Second place Harbor Day, paced by Dylan Thies who won the C Division 1600 and 800 in meet-best times of 5:01.9 and 2:19.0, had 192 points, Dwyer of Huntington Beach had 132, Huntington Beach Sowers had 99 and Corona del Mar had 91.
Dwyer won the girls’ overall title with 209 points. Ensign and Harbor Day tied for second with 156 and Corona del Mar was fourth with 103.
Ensign’s Kelsey Long won the 100 meters and long jump and finished second in the high jump to lead her team to the eighth-grade title.
Jenna Shapiro of Harbor Day won the C Division 100 and 200 meters, helping her team to the 5-4 title.
