Women Helping Women (WHW), a United Way nonprofit agency in Costa Mesa recently received the Tanner Legacy Award of $5,000 from Doncaster, a division of Tanner Companies. Women Helping Women’s mission is to empower low-income individuals to achieve self-sufficiency through employment success. Susie McCollom, the District Business Leader for Doncaster in Orange County, presented the check to Jeanne Flint, Executive Director for WHW. The award will help WHW continue to provide funding for their support services and programs.
The Legacy Awards Program began in 2000 and is one of the many programs supported by Tanner Companies LLC through the Tanner Foundation, established in 1975. The Tanner Foundation, which is dedicated to both local and global programs, takes special note of those charities which specifically assist women, children and families.
