In what is described as an alcohol-related incident, a Huntington Beach man called police last week after he said a stranger who was giving him a ride stole his phone and attacked him.

According to a log of the incident, the man called police after the 2 a.m. May 15 incident. He told police he went into a 7-Eleven in Newport Beach with friends, then when he exited the store, they were gone.

He apparently asked a man for a ride, and after getting into the man’s car, they got into a fight.

The driver allegedly stole his iPhone and cut his wrists with some kind of sharp weapon before driving off without him.

Pacific Avenue: A theft was reported in the 2700 block at 2:09 p.m. Wednesday.

Harbor Boulevard: A petty theft was reported in the 2700 block at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday.

Victoria Street: A grand theft was reported in the 1000 block at 4:34 p.m. Wednesday.

College Avenue: A residential burglary was reported in the 2100 block at 9:37 p.m. Wednesday.

Fairview Road: A vehicle was reported burglarized in the 2700 block at 12:53 p.m. Wednesday.

Fairview Road: A grand theft was reported in the 2700 block at 8:53 p.m. Wednesday.

16th Street: Vandalism was reported in the 2300 block at 8:02 a.m. Thursday.

Tustin Avenue: A theft was reported in the 100 block at 8:51 a.m. Thursday.

Ticonderoga Street and Kamalii Court: A suspicious vehicle was reported at 9:11 a.m. Thursday.

West Coast Highway: A suspicious person was reported in the 6200 block at 11:47 a.m. Thursday.

St. Andrews Road: Vandalism was reported in the 400 block at 1:28 p.m. Thursday.

Seashore Drive: A suspicious person was reported in the 7200 block at 2:59 p.m. Thursday.

Jamboree Road: A traffic collision was reported in the 4500 block at 12:47 p.m. Thursday.

San Miguel Drive and Newport Center Drive: A traffic collision was reported at 12:49 p.m. Thursday.
