Division I Championships
WALNUT — The Newport Harbor boys finished fourth with 159 points, two points ahead of Back Bay rival Corona del Mar at Mt. San Antonio College Friday.
Capistrano Valley won with 188.5 points.
The Sailors won two relay events. David Linden, Blake Kelly, Jack Yeager and Ikaika Sarme won the 200-yard medley relay in 1 minute, 33.73, just missing the meet record (1:33.21).
The same quartet won the 200 freestyle relay in 1:24.83. Linden was fourth in the 100 butterly (50.49).
Kate Klippert finished fourth in the 100 free (51.79) for the Newport girls, who finished 13th.

Division I Championships
WALNUT — Michael Liao finished second in the 100-yard breaststroke, breaking his own school record in 56.60 to help Corona del Mar High finish fifth Friday at Mt. San Antonio College.
The Sea Kings’ 200 medley relay team of Jared Namba, Liao, John Kim and Matt Berry finished second in a school-record time of 1 minute, 34.21 seconds.
Kim was third in the 200 individual medley (1:52.27), lowering his own school record. Garrett Larson was fifth (1:54.40) and Nabma sixth (1:54.73).
Berry Blake Terry, Kim and Liao were fifth in the 200 freestyle relay, setting a school record in 1:26.55.
Sarah Furgatch finished sixth in the 100 breaststroke (1:04.82) and 10th in the 200 free (1:53.63). Kelsey Larson was 10th in the 500 free (5:04.33) for the CdM girls, who finished 24th.
Edison won the girls’ title.

Costa Mesa def. El Dorado
PLACENTIA — Senior Jeff Dye had 16 kills and 20 digs to help lead the visiting Mustangs to a 21-25, 25-23, 25-22, 18-25, 15-11 victory in the first round of the CIF Southern Section Division II playoffs Friday night.
Costa Mesa (14-7) will play host to Arroyo Grande in Tuesday’s second round.
