MOBILE, Ala. — Sophomore Tino Brodar and freshman Fredric Sandberg won in No. 2 doubles Thursday, but Vanguard University lost to top-seeded Auburn University at Montgomery of Alabama, 5-3, in the quarterfinals.

Florian Lemke teamed with Nils Iwdal in a No. 3 doubles victory, giving the Lions a 2-1 lead.

But Vanguard only won once in singles action. Lemke took No. 1 singles.
