Ethan Simonoff has been very active in student government, serving as 10th-grade president, ASB second vice president in his junior year and ASB president during his senior year. Additionally, he has been a member of drama, National Honor Society, and MESA, as well as competed in tennis. His off-campus activities have included being a violinist in a private orchestra, participating in research at UCI, interning with a cardio-thoracic surgeon at Long Beach Memorial Hospital, and serving as a representative at a California Boys’ State Program. Ethan will be attending Northwestern University in the McCormick School of Engineering, most likely majoring in biomedical engineering.

Monica Esparza

Monica Esparza has been a member of Human Relations Club, Avid, Be the Change, ZOE Academy, Medical Club, CIA Club, Bowling Club, Business Academy, and Virtual Enterprise and participated in School Wide Challenge Day. She has taken honors English, honors U.S. history, AP chemistry and AP Spanish. Monica has been named to Principal’s Honor Roll and earned the Mustang Scholar Award. Her community volunteerism and activities have included the Boys and Girls Club, Girls Inc., Fiesta Latina, Senior Business Leadership Workshop, and as a ROP intern in banking and financial services, first responder and medical nursing careers. In the fall, Monica plans to attend UC Davis, majoring in either veterinary medicine or nursing.

Lauryn Randall

Lauryn Randall has competed for three years on the varsity swim team, helped three years with costume and backdrop design for the class float, was a member of B.A.S.I.C. Christian Club, FCA, the winter musical, the spring musical costume assistant, junior high editor for the Hitching Post, senior best editor for the yearbook, and ASB rally coordinator. Her recognitions include academic excellence awards, honor roll, English certificate of achievement, and principal’s honor roll. Community and volunteer activities include Harbor Trinity Church Youth Band, junior high staff volunteer at Harbor Trinity Church, and working as a seasonal lifeguard at the Costa Mesa Recreation Center. Lauryn plans to attend Point Loma Nazarene University with a double major in art design and fashion merchandising and possibly minors in English and business.
