Police Files:

Police received a call shortly after midnight Thursday that a skateboarder was the victim of a felony hit and run in the 5900 block of West Coast Highway.

After a brief interview at the hospital where he was receiving treatment, the skateboarder came clean that he was just really drunk and fell off his board while skateboarding home because he was tired. Upon falling, he took a nap on the side of the road and when he woke up, for some reason thought he had been hit by a car.

Brighton Springs: A burglary was reported in the 400 block at 3:51 p.m. Wednesday.

Chios Road: A petty theft was reported in the 2800 block at 5:22 p.m. Wednesday.

Scott Place: Vandalism was reported in the 700 block at 9:36 p.m. Wednesday.

Carson Street: A theft was reported in the 1100 block at 9:21 a.m. Wednesday.

El Camino Drive: A petty theft was reported in the 1000 block at 4:28 p.m. Wednesday.

Bear Street: A grand theft was reported in the 3300 block at 7:37 p.m. Wednesday.

Prospect Street and Seashore Drive: A traffic collision was reported at 8:42 a.m. Thursday.

West Coast Highway: A boat was reported burglarized in the 2800 block at 8:58 a.m. Thursday.

Cliff Drive and Riverside Avenue: Vandalism was reported at 9:42 a.m. Thursday.

Hospital Road: A hit and run was reported in the 300 block at 11:04 a.m. Thursday.

West Coast Highway and Superior Avenue: A traffic collision was reported at 3:17 p.m. Thursday.
