Newport Beach will host a free landscaping workshop to promote water conservation from 6 to 8 p.m. March 5 at the Newport Beach Public Library.
Roger’s Garden’s master gardener and Pilot columnist Ron Vanderhoff and Tom Ash, director of conservation alliances for HydroPoint Data Systems, will give tips and techniques on selecting native plant materials, designing irrigation systems and maintaining a healthy garden. The Central Library is at 1000 Avocado Ave.
