Fundraiser sets lineup

When Share Our Selves representatives call their annual fundraiser “Wild and Crazy Taco Night,” you better believe they’re serious.

Last year, the all-star line-up of chefs came up with tacos made up of filet mignon, duck confit, ahi, Chinese aromatic oxtail and — wait for it — s’mores-style chocolate and marshmallow. Chocolate on a taco? How are they going to top that?

We shall soon see, but taco lovers can start salivating as the April 30 event’s line-up of chefs was announced Wednesday.

Chefs participating this year include:

 Bill Bracken, The Island Hotel

 Mark Cleveland and Tanya Fuqua, Avanti Cafe

 Alan Greeley, The Golden Truffle

 Carlito Jocson, Yard House

 Michael Kang, 5’

 Chad Krahlin, Hilton Orange County, Costa Mesa

 Lalo Morales, Rusty Pelican

 Pascal Olhats, Tradition by Pascal

 Michael Rossi, Ambrosia

Adrien Sbrana, Sam and Harry’s

 Don Schoenburg, leatherby’s Cafe Rouge

 Paul Squicciarini, Orange County Food and Wine Center

Wild and Crazy Taco Night is 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. April 30 at Share Our Selves, 1550 Superior Ave., Costa Mesa.

General admission is $60, but if you want to go to the VIP pre-party and sample seven tacos while mingling with some of the chefs it’ll set you back $150.
