Mustangs senior goalie Jessica Rubright recorded seven saves. Costa Mesa led 2-0 at halftime. Calvary Chapel drew within 2-1 early in the second half, but Medina secured the win, completing the hat trick in the 62nd minute.
Calvary Chapel fell to 5-8-1, 1-1-0.

COSTA MESA — Senior Cori Chapin, sophomore Alissa Scheafer and junior Nushin Tasbihchi scored one goal each for the Eagles in their Orange Coast League game Thursday.
Freshman Heather Flores and junior Daisy Martinez contributed one assist each for Estancia (7-7-2, 1-0-1 in league), which plays at Laguna Beach Tuesday at 6:15 p.m.

NEWPORT BEACH — Junior Elizabeth Eddy scored for the Sailors in their Sunset League game Thursday.
Eddy followed her own shot after the goalie had deflected it. Her goal tied the game, 1-1, just before halftime. Esperanza scored in the 77th minute for the game-winner. Emily Browne had 12 saves in goal for the Sailors (3-1-9, 1-2 in league).
Esperanza, ranked No. 3 in CIF Southern Section Division I, improved to 13-2-1, 2-1 in league.
Newport Harbor plays at Edison on Tuesday.

IRVINE — Junior midfielder Hayley Raguse scored the Sea Kings’ lone goal off a corner kick in Thursday’s Pacific Coast League game.
Tessa Andujar created scoring opportunities for CdM (6-3-6, 1-1 in league), which was unable to capitalize on.

CORONA DEL MAR — The Sea Kings won the Pacific Coast League dual match based on criteria of having more pins after a 33-33 tie Thursday.
CdM had four pins and Uni had two. Austin Kaye (130-pound division) and Danny Busch (140) were two of the Sea Kings who had pins, while James Conger (160), Kendall Pick (171) and Max Priestley (heavyweight) won by decision.
