NEWPORT COAST — The Lightning fell to 2-3-1 after the Trojans scored on the final second of the nonleague game Thursday.
“I felt really bad for the girls because it blew their heart out,” Sage Hill assistant coach Chino Cid said. “Uni was the better team skill-wise. [The Trojans] had a lot of chances. Our girls played with a lot of heart. It was hard to see the game end like that on the last play of the game. It was tough.”
The Lightning play at Los Amigos today at 3:15 p.m.
