IRVINE — Senior Randall Tom and junior Chris Rosales won two individual events and contributed to a winning relay to highlight performances by the host Anteaters in the nonconference meet Saturday.
Tom won the 200-yard butterfly (1 minute, 47.91 seconds) and the 200 individual medley (1:54.31) and swam on the victorious 200 medley relay.
Rosales topped the field in the 100 and 200 breastroke events in 57.51 and 2:06.52, respectively. He also contributed to the medley relay.
Junior Eric Nugent (three-meter) and sophopmore Miles Smith (one-meter) won diving events for UCI.
WOMEN’S SWIMMING
UNLV 165, UC Irvine 126
IRVINE — Junior Melanie Grosvenor won the one- and three-meter diving events to highlight UCI individuals in the nonconference dual meet Saturday at UCI.
UCI junior Jessica Schlitz won the 100-yard butterfly (58.81 seconds) and contributed to the winning 400 freestyle relay.
Sophomore Ann Tsuchiya won the 500 free in 5:07.15.
