Sharing a great night we won at Taco Rosa
Several weeks ago I entered the restaurant contest and won a dinner for six with wine pairings at Taco Rosa in Newport Beach.
I wanted to share with your readers how absolutely wonderful this restaurant is. Every detail of the dinner was explained to our party by Ivan and Marco Calderon, the proprietors of Taco Rosa, and as promised we had a wonderful time.
Each course was accompanied by a Chilean or Argentine wine, which was explained in great detail by our hosts.
It was obvious that they take great pride in their restaurant.
I encourage your readers to try Taco Rosa if they have not already, as it is really a wonderful family restaurant with an interesting and diverse menu.
The service, food and all-around experience was truly outstanding.

Energy crisis requires new solutions in U.S.
America faces unprecedented economic, environmental and national security challenges.
We urgently need new jobs, stable energy prices, and freedom from dirty fossil fuels and global warming pollution.
These challenges call for a big solution.
I want our leaders to know, here in Orange County, we support Repowering America with 100% clean electricity within 10 years, to get our country and our environment back on track quickly.
We can do this through energy efficiency, renewable generation and a national unified smart grid.
Repowering America means new industries with high-paying green jobs, lower energy costs and replacing dirty coal and foreign oil with clean domestic energy that is free and limitless.
See the plan at repoweramerica.org.
