Seven cross country teams from the Newport-Mesa area will be competing in today’s CIF Southern Section Championships at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut.
Races start at 7:45 a.m.
The Newport Harbor High boys will compete in Division II at 8:05 a.m. The Newport Harbor girls, who won the CIF state title last year, will try to return to Fresno next week, as they compete in the Division II race at 8:45 a.m.
Estancia and Corona del Mar are in the boys’ Division III race at 9:05 a.m. The Sage Hill boys compete in the Division V race at 9:45 a.m.
