UC Irvine senior Erinn Kim (women’s) and freshman Sam Hyams (men’s) have been named Big West Conference Athletes of the Week in cross country.
Kim won the individual title of the Titan Invitational Friday with a time of 18 minutes, 11.9 seconds over the 5,000-meter course on the Cal State Fullerton campus.
Her showing helped UCI to a second-place team finish.
Hyams was the top-scoring collegiate runner in the men’s competition with a time of 25:38.0 over 8,000 meters as the Anteaters won the team title.
