The Orange County affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation is trying to get business owners to jump on board with the organization’s breast cancer campaign this month by picking one day, dressing their employees in pink and recommending that each give $5 to fund breast cancer research, treatment and education.
As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is October, the foundation thinks that the initiative is a good way to make local businesses aware of the need for funding and give their employees a conduit through which they can donate.
Unfortunately, they do not provide the pink shirts, so if you tend to dress in neutral colors you might have to get creative.
