The Pink Panthers, coach by Rick Hohenstein, had a great game on Saturday, September 12th. Isabelle Searles intercepted the ball several times and dribbled down the field to her opponents’ goal. Lily Shea was an awesome goalie and displayed some impressive fast running, charging, blocking and kicking. Isabella Swart showed her skills as goalie with some good stopping and blocking. Alison Woodward played some fabulous defensive blocking and had nice ball control. Posy DiPaola took her turn as goalie with some super blocking and stopping. Go Posy!!! Lauren Dewan dazzled the crowd with her excellent defensive blocking, powerful kicks and overhead throws. She even scored a goal for the Pink Panthers! Zoe Ziebarth had amazing energy on the field and exhibited a talented ability to intercept the ball and charge down the field. As always, Gretchen Hohenstein impressed us all with her seemingly effortless interceptions and her wonderful control of the ball. Yay Gretchen!
AYSO Region 97 Soccer Action
The Pink Panthers (GU07) had another terrific game on Saturday the nineteenth. Gretchen Hohenstein's assertive offense helped lead the team towards the opponents’ goal several times. Lily Shea wowed the crowd with some fast and powerful overhead throws. Isabella Swart displayed some strategic kicking and field placement. Lauren Dewan impressed her fans when charging down the field towards the goal with speed and agility. Zoe Ziebarth exhibited stupendous steals and fancy footwork. Isabelle Searles played some dazzling defense and great goal stops. Alison Woodward's daring defense and excellent effort payed off when it was her turn to play goalie. Her stupendously strong kicks kept her opponents away from the goal. Posy DiPaola's tenacious turn arounds and interceptions were over the top. Overall, the Pink Panther's persistence paid off and a strong game was played by all.
