Green Geckos 5, Surf 5 (BU10)
The Green Geckos faced off against the Surf in the BU10 division in game 2. The game was a thriller and both teams played their hearts out. At the half, the Surf was up 4-1, with Sam Leaman scoring the first goal for the Geckos. However, after the half, the Geckos geared up and with Sam Wertheimer defending against several goals, Daniel Knapp bravely getting up from numerous smack downs, Oliver Ressler, Evan Wicks and Eaan McKasson’s mighty defense and fancy footwork, Hunter Hall was able to score 2 mighty goals and Griffin Brockhoff also scored 2 incredible goals. Sadly, Ryan Myers, a key Gecko defender, was absent and missed the action. The boys all played an exciting and fast paced game to a hard fought tie at 5-5. Congratulations to the Surf and the Green Geckos for a well-played, nail biter full of sportsmanship all around.
