NOTRE DAME, Ind. — UC Irvine fell to 5-7 after a 25-22, 25-23, 25-23 loss to host Notre Dame Saturday.
The Anteaters, who defeated Western Michigan Friday, will face Liberty today.
Kari Pestolesi led UCI with 15 kills and added 12 digs. Lauren Kellerman had seven kills, while setter Taryn Robertson recorded 30 assists, nine digs and five kills. Devon Suthernland led the Anteaters with 14 digs.

COSTA MESA — The Lions outshot Soka, 15-8, in the nonconference game Saturday.
Victor Tapia, Albert Quinones and David Garcia scored one goal each for Vanguard (2-3-1).

NorCal Tournament
STOCKTON — Sophomore driver Brandon Johnson and junior driver Thomas Kruip each scored four goals as UC Irvine came back to beat UC Santa Barbara, 10-9, in the NorCal Tournament at Saint Mary’s High Saturday morning.
UCI (1-2), ranked No. 7 in the country, went 1-1 Saturday after losing to No. 2 USC, 13-1.
Freshman driver Derrik Clair-Williams scored the Anteaters’ goal against the Trojans.
Junior Erik Evered had five saves in goal for UCI, which plays in a fifth-place bracket semifinal today.
