State Sen. Tom Harman announced Friday he would be assuming the duties of Republican Caucus Whip, the third-highest position in the Senate Republican Caucus.
The new role will leave Harman with the responsibility of ensuring the enforcement of proper procedures and rules on the floor of the Senate.
Harman was also assigned to the Senate Budget and Fiscal Review Committee, where he said he was looking forward to the greater ability in working to “protect against unnecessary and wasteful government spending.”
