South Coast Plaza opens Calvin Klein store Friday

The first Calvin Klein retail store in Orange County opened Friday at South Coast Plaza, offering sportswear, footwear, suits and other items created by the famous designer brand.

The store on the third floor of the Bear Street wing was the third business to open at South Coast Plaza last week, following Rolex and AG Adriano Goldschmied.

Calvin Klein had a soft opening Friday and plans to host a grand opening April 24 with live DJs and a visit from GQ magazine.

General Manager Luis Briseno said the Calvin Klein apparel in the store wasn’t the kind offered by retail chains.

“It’s all white-label exclusive, which means you can’t find it in a department store,” he said.
