Peek…Aren’t You Curious just opened its first Orange County store at Fashion Island. It specializes in simple and sophisticated children’s apparel in size newborns through age 10. Peek celebrates its grand opening Thursday with treats, refreshments and easels displayed for painting.

A percentage of the proceeds from that day’s sales go toward Art & Creativity for Healing, an organization specializing in therapeutic art programs for children. Peek clothes are functional, easily mixed and matched, and designed to appeal to children as well as please a parent’s sense of style. The Peek line is available in sub-brands, for girls the lines include Fleur des Champs, Surf Royalty, Craft Dungarees and Sgt. Fletcher. Boys wear Surf Royalty, Craft Dungarees, Sgt. Fletcher and Williams and Sons; and infants wear the Little Peanut line.

Peek is open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Friday; 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday; 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. The store is between the Carousel and the Iris Fountain at Fashion Island. Call (949) 719-7738 or visit

Denim-crazed shoppers in Orange County can celebrate the scheduled opening today of AG Adriano Goldschmied at South Coast Plaza. AG Adriano Goldschmied is one of the most popular denim lines and also carries tops, sweaters, dresses, skirts and more.

The premium denim brand is known for its form-fitting cuts and intricate, pumice stone washes. And this boutique is unlike other denim boutiques. What other denim store offers on-site custom tailoring on an 18-karat-gold sewing machine and for relaxing, a coffee bar?

You’ll find the most sought after styles, and professionally trained sales attendants ensure the perfect fit. Nearly everything in the AG store is made out of denim, leather, stone and steel, suggesting the denim’s strong, durable character.

AG is open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Friday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday; 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Sunday. It’s on Level 3, Crate & Barrel Wing at South Coast Plaza. Call (714) 427-0055 or visit
