Gondola Attack

While enjoying a pleasant Gondola ride for my first wedding anniversay on Newport Harbor Monday afternoon, my wife and I were attacked by rocks from a number of kids on Lido Island. 

I was shocked to see these kids (hoodlums) on the the public dock on Lido Island lining up their aim with sling shots. Thinking they had water balloons, but when rocks starting hitting our Gondola we were in shock.  

The Gondolier used his cell phones to call Police and by the time we got to the dock to confront them they had raced off hiding in their multi million dollar homes.  The Gondolier says this happens all the time and he feels like a target with his red and white striped shirt.

Dear Parents of these Lido Island brats, control your children before we have a real accident on our harbor.
