SOCCER CLINIC COMING
The UC Irvine women’s soccer program is offering a three-day clinic for high school players, Jan. 3-5, from 9 a.m. to noon at UCI.
The fee is $115 and those interested may phone (949) 824-6120 for registration information.
The clinic is designed to test high-school-age players in all components of the game. The sessions are designed to reflect practices conducted with the UCI women’s team.
Participants will be instructed in functional activities based on their preferred position, with tactical sessions touching on the main principles of attacking and defending.
They will also compete in 11-on-11 scrimmages.
SOFTBALL COACH NEEDED
Newport Harbor High is in need of a varsity softball coach for the upcoming season.
