A remodeling of the Harbor Justice Center-Laguna Niguel has the Orange County Superior Court redirecting all criminal cases in that area to Harbor Justice Center-Newport Beach on Jamboree Road.
Orange County’s Superior Court Harbor Justice Center is made up of courthouses in Newport Beach, Laguna Hills and Laguna Niguel.
Anticipating the influx of criminal cases in the Newport Beach facility, officials have moved all civil cases heard at the Newport Beach and Laguna Niguel facilities to the Laguna Hills facility at 23141 Moulton Parkway.
Scheduled to reopen in 2010, the Laguna Niguel courthouse will be renamed the South Justice Center, according to a public release from the Orange County Superior Court.
