Junior Tiffany Kim led Newport Harbor with her 11-over-par 81. Sophomore Lauren Draganza followed at 84, then sophomore Ali Thomas with an 85 and senior Kendall Horn with 86. Sophomore Morgan Moody finished with 91.
“To advance is pretty special with 25 teams there and most of them were league champs or runner-up,” Tarnow said. “Marina was [the Sunset League] champ and they didn’t advance.”
Ayala won the Divisional title, coming in with 4-1. Los Altos was second with 412.

CHINO — Corona del Mar High ended its season with a team score of 460 on the Butterfield Stage Course at El Prado Golf Course Monday.
Freshman Monica Phan led the Sea Kings, shooting 87 on the par-72 course, sophomore Tess Crane (88), senior Katharine Hanson (94), junior Kelly Moorhead (95) and sophomore Ashley Varner (96) also competed for Corona del Mar.
Torrance won the Southern Division title with a score of 369.
Moorhead, who finished fifth in the Pacific Coast League, will compete at the CIF Southern Individual Regional at Seven Hills Golf Club in Hemet on Thursday at 8 a.m.

Sage Hill 16, Capistrano

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO — Junior Laney Tucker, along with sophomores Dominique Moore and Samantha Murray swept in singles for the Lightning in the Academy League match Monday.
Moore did not drop a game in her three wins, while Tucker and Murray gave up just two each. The Sage Hill doubles team of junior Jaclyn Smrecek and junior Isa-Marie Taskinen also swept at No. 2 doubles to help the Lightning improve to 12-4, 8-0 in league.
Capistrano Valley Christian dropped to 6-8, 2-5.
Sage Hill, ranked No. 2 in CIF Southern Section Division IV, will play against St. Margaret’s at San Clemente Tennis Club for the league title Wednesday at 3 p.m. If the Lightning win they will win the title outright. A loss and they will clinch at least a share of the championship.
