NORTHRIDGE — Neither team scored as UC Irvine recorded its first tie of the season against Cal State Northridge Sunday afternoon.
The Anteaters (9-5-2, 3-1-1) tied Cal State Northridge 0-0 in double overtime in Big West Conference play at Matador Soccer Field.
The Anteaters and Matadors played 110 scoreless minutes Sunday.
Freshman goalkeeper Danielle de Seriere recorded eight saves for the UC Irvine to earn her seventh shutout of the season. Keeper Ivette Esqueda had three saves for the Matadors as she earned a shutout.
The Anteaters will face Long Beach State Tuesday at 7 p.m. at home, in a match that was postponed due to poor air quality.
