Youth Scene

The Green Machine: Jesse Camano had a hat trick, while the Green Machine also received great goals from Alex Carpenter and Conor Houlihan, and a breakaway goal from Rory Sever. Richard Torres provided multiple assists and John Rankin played well at the fullback position. Aidan Steinke played a balanced midfield and Peter Emmel showed defensive strength. Cade Kassouf had a goal save and some nice breakaways.

Girls under 7

Island Girls vs. G.I. Janes: Nicole Nesbitt was on fire on offense and defense for the Island Girls. Claire Bacon had her best game ever and Skylar Jacobsen provided some great saves on goal. Grace Fay and Alina Aguirre showed impressive passing and scoring.

Boys under 6

Red Devils vs. Rattlesnakes: Jack Starnes and Ty Burgess both scored four goals each in a great team effort. Starnes also had a nice assist to Dylan Hillson, who scored his first goal of the season. Nolan Schupak had some great defensive plays and without any subs, Starnes, Burgess, Hillson and Shupak played hard and showed brilliant teamwork.

Blue Rockets vs. Green Black Widows: Luke Bashore scored two goals for the Blue Rockets, who showed a strong team effort on Saturday. Ryan McCarthy scored his first goal of the year on some aggressive play up front. Jackson Bryant and Cole McCunniff displayed some exciting footwork, perfect passing and constant hustle. Tommy Kennedy used his strong leg to score the Blue Rockets’ final goal.

Girls under 5

Blue Sparkling Unicorns vs. Blue Dolphins: After the Blue Dolphins scored a quick goal, Bridget Walton scored on a breakaway and added several more goals later in the game. Lauren Friedman’s solid defense helped the Unicorns, as did her goal coming off an assist from Walton. With the Unicorns only having two players, they displayed a winning attitude and never gave up.

Pink Wahines vs. Mermaids: The rain wasn’t enough to stop the Pink Wahines from playing a solid match against the Mermaids. Multiple goals were scored by Emily, Willa and Riley. Maggie and Rachel’s defense held off any threats from the Mermaids.
