Wildcats 2, Shooting Stars 2: The Wildcats struck first off a 20-yard kick from Kailynn Thomas. The defense was led by McKennah Blue and Ciera D’Alessandro who played tough. Down a goal in the second half, the Wildcats tied it up with a goal from Charlie Toffer. Emily Vaughn, Hannah Sanders and Emily Root kept the attack going and Olivia Jaber and McKennzie Porteous helped out with great efforts.

Hot Tamales 3, Blue Crush 2: Kendall Cosenza scored two goals for the Hot Tamales, helping them to their first win of the season. Haley Martinez also scored a goal in the win. Megan Keys had an assist and two steals. Maggie Osumi and Amanda Cox helped with key passes for the offense. Caylee Talbot, Genesee Giedt, Rebecca Szulga and Megan Deegan played tough and Destry Comp and Demi Ronis displayed strong defense for the Hot Tamales.

Boys under-10 Plus


Newport Beach 4, Costa Mesa 2: Dillon Murphy scored twice in the second quarter for Newport. Cole Brockhoff claimed a goal off a nice individual effort and Alex Forman scored the final goal in the fourth quarter. Josh Lewis showed leadership and Jonathan Farris, Cody Wildman and Jeremiah Sheldon played strong defense for Newport. Chase Braun, Sam Lauder, Dylan Kaplan and Charlie Stassel put pressure on Costa Mesa. Reed Rutter played well as the goalkeeper for Newport.

Boys under 10

Warriors 3, Barracudas 2: Trent Burgess scored the game-winner with two seconds left for the Warriors on a strong outside shot that went in the upper corner of the goal. The Warriors’ Sam Srapyan scored a brilliant goal on a corner kick and followed it up with a nice shot from outside the penalty box. The defense led by Nick Carey and Wilson Lubek played great.

August Rice scored in the first quarter and Jack McClintock scored on a penalty kick in the third for the Barracudas. Briggs D’Eliscu and Ethan Zimmerman played well on offense and Zach Durham displayed impressive hustle. Dylan Wolf and Riley Blake were strong on defense and Sean Freeman played well in goal. Marley Aragon dominated the Barracuda backfield in the fourth quarter.

Boys under 8

Gators vs. Panthers: The Gators played well against the Panthers. Carter Bays, Hunter Hall, Vincent Rubino, Lucas Ovalle and Joshua Gehlke displayed great passing on the field. Tommy Hanle and Ian Hanson played great defense and Matthew Ingram held strong in the goal.
