SAN BERNARDINO — Jacqueline Reed had 18 kills and eight digs as the visiting Pirates won, 19-30, 30-22, 30-24, 30-22, Friday in a nonconference match.
Rebecca Lowe had eight kills for Orange Coast(1-1), and setter Emily Lyon added 35 assists.
Brooke Goodyear and Sebastiana Lopez each had 13 kills for San Bernardino Valley (0-3).

COSTA MESA — The Pirates couldn’t hold an early 2-0 lead in the nonconference match Friday at OCC.
OCC (2-1-1) scored the game’s first goal in the 21st minute when Curtis Tanaguchi scored on Matt Blank’s assist. Five minutes later, Jerred Balbas scored a header off teammate John Shinjo’s corner kick.
But Long Beach (1-0-3) scored goals in the 65th and 75th minutes to salvage the tie.
Joey Balbas made seven saves for OCC, which plays host to Glendale on Tuesday in another nonconference match.

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — Sophomore Kate Berrini scored both goals to help the Anteaters improve to 2-1 in a game at the High Altitude Tournament at Lumberjack Stadium on the campus of Northern Arizona University Friday.
Berrini scored her second goal of the season in the 34th minute, then finalized the scoring in the 69th minute, converting an assist from sophomore Caty Cope.
UCI freshman goalkeeper Danielle de Seriere had six saves to earn her second straight shutout. She has played in all three UCI matches this season and has not allowed a goal.
The Anteaters conclude tournament play Sunday, when they Liberty at 11 a.m.

Vanguard 3, Cedarville 2
MISHAWAKA, Ind. — The No. 24-ranked Lions overcame a 2-0 deficit to prevail in the Bethel Tournament Friday.
Sem Lopez scored on a penalty kick to put Vanguard on the scoreboard in the 55th minute.
Lopez then earned an assist on Jeff Cocca’s goal in the 70th minute.
Dane Gallion scored the game-winner in the 80th minute on an assist by Andrew Elliott and Tom Culver to help Vanguard improve to 3-0.
