The Costa Mesa-based nonprofit Snowball Express is set to welcome about 1,500 spouses and children of soldiers who have died serving in Iraq and Afghanistan to Orange County this holiday season, the organization announced Wednesday.
This year’s itinerary will begin Nov. 30 with a dinner and concert featuring actor Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band at the Grove in Anaheim.
The following day, the families will visit the Oakley Corporation headquarters for a holiday shindig featuring games and prizes and the weekend will end with a trip to Disneyland Dec. 2.
