Festival of Children coming in September

South Coast Plaza will host the sixth annual Festival of Children from Sept. 1 through Sept. 30, where more than 50 children’s charities will be showcased.

The monthlong celebration will include celebrity appearances, activities, workshops and performances for kids of all ages.

Last year’s event featured a “meet and greet” with actress Jane Seymour, an appearance by ocean muralist Wyland, T-shirt decorating by Paul Frank Industries and booths offering information on different child-related organizations.

Anyone interested in helping support the Festival of Children Foundation, whose mission is “to improve the lives of children by strengthening the charities that serve them,” can purchase a South Coast Plaza gift card and donate it.

Gift card purchases of $25 or more are 100% tax deductible, and will be distributed by the organization to the charities they serve.
