The London-based surf apparel company Hot Tuna has appointed Niels Juul as chief executive of its Newport Beach office.
Juul, who moved from his position as managing director of Von Dutch clothing, will take charge of the brand development and worldwide operations in Newport Beach, London and Sydney. Juul, a native of Denmark, will report to Creative Executive Director Elle Macpherson, the supermodel, and the Hot Tuna International PLC board.
During his time at Von Dutch, Juul worked in global brand development and distribution, retail development and license-agreements. He presided over a $45 million gross revenue growth over three years, according to a Hot Tuna news release.
