COSTA MESA — Estancia High senior Riley Hart delivered a two-out RBI single to right in the bottom of the eighth inning, helping the Eagles' baseball team to a 3-2 win over Rancho Alamitos that completed a doubleheader sweep Saturday at TeWinkle Park.
The Eagles (4-4) also defeated Rancho Alamitos, 9-7.
Taylor McClanahan pitched an inning of relief in the nightcap, earning his first win of the year for Estancia.
In Game 1, Estancia jumped out to a 5-0 lead on Rancho Alamitos (2-6) before the visitors rallied within two. But Ryan Redding's two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth gave the Eagles some much-needed breathing room.
Redding was two for three in the game, scored four runs and stole three bases. Ian Abernathy had a triple, and Blake Pinto, who picked up the win in the first game, had two hits in each of the wins over Rancho Alamitos.
