One man was arrested and another is still at large after Newport Beach police found other people's checks and credit cards in the men's Ford Explorer, authorities said.
Newport Beach police arrested Jason Lee Goodson, 26, of Norwalk at 5:10 a.m. Tuesday on suspicion of possession of stolen property, Sgt. Evan Sailor said. The other man is at-large. Police are still determining his identity.
Officers were patrolling on Avon Street near Riverside Avenue at about 4:30 a.m. when they saw a suspicious vehicle, so they decided to investigate, Sailor said.
