YMCA RECEIVES DONATIONS

Marge Hearn, the widow of legendary Los Angeles Lakers broadcaster Chick Hearn, established the Chick Hearn Legacy Memorial Fund through the YMCA of Orange County by presenting a $50,000 donation Friday.

The presentation in honor of Chick Hearn, who broadcasted Lakers games for 42 years, was made at the 31st Annual Reach Out Awards at the Costa Mesa Hilton.

Marge Hearn, Arnold J. Kleiner, the President and General manager of ABC7, and David Lamb, a Newport Beach resident and Vice Chairman of the YMCA of Orange County board of directors, were honored.

The funds will be used to support YMCA of Orange County programs and to start a yearly scholarship to the Sportscasters Camp of America.
