WILLIAM E. VEANO

William E. Veano, a resident of Newport Beach since 1969, died Monday of pneumonia. He was 85.

Veano, born June 4, 1920, in Manhattan Beach, was a retired employee of Parker-Haffin.

He is survived by his wife Mavis Veano and daughter Cynthia Veano.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Pacific View Mortuary, 3500 Pacific Drive, Costa Mesa.

JOHN ANTHONY DONOVAN

John Anthony Donovan, a 27-year resident of Corona del Mar, died Thursday of liver failure. He was 72.

Donovan, a psychologist, was born Nov. 11, 1933, in Ireland. He is survived by his son Patrick Donovan of Corona del Mar and daughter Megan Donovan of Laguna Beach.

A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. March 30 at St. John the Baptist Church, 1015 Baker St., Costa Mesa.
