Waves handle UCI

UCI men's tennis resultMALIBU -- UC Irvine junior Aaron Ellis won at No. 4 singles to claim the only victory in the Anteaters' 6-1 nonconference men's tennis loss to Pepperdine on Sunday.

Ellis defeated Andre Begemann, 7-5, 0-6, 10-5, to capture the only point for the Anteaters.

UCI fell to 1-2.

Pepperdine, ranked No. 9, improved to 4-0.

The Anteaters play host to the University of San Diego on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.
