high school roundup for tuesIRVINE -- Senior Tim Lefler scored a game-high 13 points to lead the Sage Hill School boys' basketball team to a 59-25 shellacking of Zinsmeyer of Long Beach in the opening round of pool play Wednesday in the Tarbut V' Torah Tournament.
Lefler added five steals for the Lightning (5-3), while sophomore Connor Rose chipped in three points and six assists. Senior Mike Morgan led in rebounding with six boards.
Sage Hill plays in the second round against Brighton at 4:30 p.m. today.
