GREATEST HITS

Conductor Carl St. Clair leads the Pacific Symphony in

"Tchaikovsky's Greatest Hits," an all Tchaikovsky program, at 8 p.m.

Sept. 13. Special guest pianist Vardan Mamikonian will perform the

Piano Concerto No. 1. The evening starts with the Polonaise from

"Eugene Onegin" and the suite from "Swan Lake," and ends with the

rousing "1812" Overture, with cannons and fireworks. Tickets cost $75

to $375. The concert is at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in

The "Next Up!" concert will kick-off the Eclectic Orange Festival

Unsigned Indies, is a showcase of independent local artists presented

The Family Classics Season for the Orange County Performing Arts

Center will feature a gala opening night on Oct. 8 with a concert by

the Pacific Symphony featuring the world's great violin virtuosos,

Midori. She will play Mendelssohn's Concerto for Violin and Orchestra

in E minor. Carl St. Clair will then lead the orchestra in a

performance of Mahler's Symphony No. 1 in D minor. The concert will
