Anteaters fly past Air Force

The UC Irvine women's basketball team recorded a school record 12

three-pointers on the way to an 86-59 nonconference victory over the

Air Force Academy Saturday night.

UCI shot 50% from beyond the arc (12-for-24) to break the 1994

record of 10.

Wendy Gabbe and Courtney Ferguson led the Anteaters with 21 points

each. Gabbe hit five threes, and Ferguson, off the bench, had four.

Kristen Green had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds,

while Lauren Yadon added 14 points and Christina Callaway had 11

points.

UCI improves to 6-2, Air Force falls to 4-3.
