NEWPORT BEACH -- Honoring the city's outstanding businesspeople, a
crowd of about 150 gathered Wednesday for the Newport Harbor Area Chamber
of Commerce annual meeting and awards ceremony.
In addition to awards for members' contributions to chamber activities
during the past year, Newport Beach Fire Chief Tim Riley also presented
the Silver Anchor Awards, given to individuals who have also contributed
"to the betterment of the business, residential, civic and recreational
environmentin the Newport Harbor Area."
