IRVINE - The Corona del Mar boys basketball team was outscored 22-7
in the first quarter and never recovered in a 72-45 Pacific Coast League
loss at Northwood.
Sea Kings senior Eric Snell scored a team-high 13 points and Idean
Shahangian finished with eight.
Corona (10-14, 4-3 in league) defeated the Timberwolves (17-6, 4-3),
56-50, in the first round of PCL.
The Sea Kings' loss caused a two-way tie for second place with
Northwood, each one game behind PCL co-leaders Costa Mesa and University
with three games remain before the CIF Southern Section playoffs.
CdM will play at Estancia, Friday at 7 p.m.
