Swimming: Local Zots travel to Junior Nationals

SAN ANTONIO - Local Irvine AquaZot swimmers Jennifer Arrow, Laurin

Weisenthal and Adam Hewko competed in the Junior Nationals last week in

San Antonio.

Hewko was the only local to qualify for a finals. He was 12th in the

men's 400-meter individual medley with a 4:37.74 after swimming a 4:40.88

in the preliminaries. Hewko also swam a 1:47.47 in the 1,500 freestyle

prelims.

Arrow competed in two women's events. She swam a 2:48.06 in the 200

breaststroke and 1:17.02 in the 100 breaststroke. Weisenthal turned in a

time of 5:13.23 in the women's 400 IM.
