The Hoag Cancer Center sponsors a free tai chi class for intermediate to
advanced levels from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursdays for people with cancer
and their families. A beginner session meets from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Fridays. The classes are designed to reduce stress, increase longevity
and promote a sense of well-being with basic, easy-to-learn, nonstrenuous
movements to aid in balance and concentration. The class is free and
