LA HABRA - The Corona del Mar High boys basketball team handled La
Mirada, 53-37, in the first round of the Sonora Tournament Monday, but
senior Brooks Morris may have sustained a broken wrist for the winners.
Morris, a top returner, fell while attempting a layin on his left
(shooting) wrist, according to Coach Paul Orris.
The win allowed Orris to pull even with Jack Errion for the school and
Newport-Mesa District career victory record (199).
CdM will meet Monday's Verbum Dei-Sonora winner Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
